NJ Spotlight News | Concern that sale of recreational marijuana could squeeze out medicinal users

Posted OnDecember 17, 2021 byceriusa

NJ Spotlight News

Businesses that want to sell recreational marijuana in New Jersey can start applying for licenses in March, with recreational sales then starting at established medical marijuana dispensaries first. But some advocates are concerned those recreational sales could mean less availability of cannabis for medical patients.

Medical marijuana advocates say they want the state to release data on how much cultivation is available to ensure patient demand will be met once recreational sales begin. A start date for recreational sales has not yet been set.
